This Avro Lancaster E.M F R 5570 from R.A.F Squadron 207 flew many bombing raids over Europe during World War II……..It was reported missing 9th December 1942…….
The ‘’Lanc’’ was designed by Roy Chadwick and carried the famous Barnes Wallis bouncing bomb to the Dams in Germany.
In 1948 it was a ‘’Lanc’’ that was the first scheduled passenger flight to leave Heathrow Airport .
