REF: 073

Price: £550

'The Maiden's Head at Uckfield' & 'The Talbot at Ripley'

A matching pair of large framed rare, old prints of paintings by Cecil Aldin. These were coaching Inns dating back to the early 19th Century. These prints are of the interiors of the coaching Inns. We don't have precise dates - but we estimate the paintings to have been done in the early 20th Century. We have reason to believe that these prints were among the first made of these paintings - circa 1930. We do know that the prints have been property of the same family for the last 100 years.

Cecil Aldin was an English artist (1870-1935). He trained in Kensington and lived in Chelsea and was a member of the Chelsea Arts Club.
